A 62-year-old man from Philadelphia and a 53-year-old woman from Deptford were killed in a head-on crash in Gloucester County, authorities said. Footage being circulated on social media and obtained by 6abc shows a driver identified by police as Stanley Kahana driving the wrong way for several seconds before slamming head-on into another motorist on Route 55 on Thursday, Sept. 5. Dropped Load In Crash Causes Closures In Bayonne: OEM
A car crash with a dropped load caused significant traffic delays in Bayonne on the morning of Monday, Aug. 5. The crash occurred on Route 440 South near the 63rd Street exit, the Bayonne Office of Emergency Management said. The crash caused heavy damage to the roadway, with debris strewn throughout. The Bayonne OEM said they were on scene doing cleanup, necessitating the closure of Route 440 South and making only one lane available on Route 440 North near Avenue C. It is unknown if there were any injuries.

A crash early Thursday, July 25 blocked several toll lanes in East Orange on the Garden State Parkway. As of 7:50 a.m., emergency response vehicles were at the scene with property damage at Exit 145. The vehicle appears to have crashed while leaving the toll lanes. Delays were reported.

Car Fire Completely Shuts Garden State Parkway, DOT Says
There are heavy delays on the Garden State Parkway due to a car fire closing all lanes in Union County on Wednesday, July 10. Three lanes are blocked on Garden State Parkway northbound from Exit 132 in Woodbridge to Exit 135 in Clark Township, the Department of Transportation said. Open lanes are operating on a 2.5 mile delay, the DOT said.

Details have been released in a crash that caused serious delays along the Garden State Parkway on one of the busiest travel times of the year. Morning rush hour traffic appeared to be moving smoothly on the Garden State Parkway after buckled pavement caused major delays in Toms River. A pavement heave was found on the southbound side near milepost 82.7, the parkway said on Twitter at 5:47 p.m. on Tuesday, July 2. Dump Truck Crash Faulted For Route 24 Closure In Millburn (

A passenger car and a dump truck collided on Route 24 in Millburn early Thursday, June 6, authorities said. The Toyota and truck crashed around 6:40 a.m. on the eastbound side of the highway, at milepost 6.9, New Jersey State Police Sgt. Charles Marchan said. The incident closed all lanes just after the accident, but they have since reopened, the NJDOT site shows. No injuries were reported and the crash remains under investigation.
