Man Killed In Fatal Jersey Fire: Prosecutor
A 56-year-old Jersey City man was killed in a fire on the morning of Wednesday, Oct. 16, authorities said. At 10 a.m., firefighters responded to a fire at 121 Garfield Ave. in Jersey City, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. Upon arrival, firefighters found a fire coming from a third floor bedroom of a three-story residential building, Suarez said. While battling the blaze, firefighters located an injured male, later identified as Pablo Renta, Suarez said. Man Critically Injured In Bayonne Fire: Prosecutor
A man was critically injured in a fire in Bayonne on the late afternoon of Monday, Sept. 16, authorities said. At 5:20 p.m., the Bayonne Fire Department responded to 167 West 9th St. after receiving multiple reports of a fire, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. The fire was discovered in the basement, the Bayonne Office of Emergency Management said. The fire was declared under control at 5:46 p.m., OEM said. The cause and origin of the fire remain under investigation by the Hudson County Regional ArsonTask Force and the Bayonne Fire Department, Suarez said.

The Hudson County Regional Arson Task Force is investigating a fire that left a man seriously injured in Jersey City overnight. The Jersey City Fire Department received a 911 call for a fire at 366 1⁄2 7th Street in Jersey City around 2:10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. Sadness spread throughout Bayonne following the death of a 6-year-old girl in a fire Sunday, June 30.
