Missing Hillside Man Last Seen In Newark: Police A 54-year-old Hillside man has been missing since Friday, Dec. 27, after he was last seen in Newark, authorities said.  Lucio Mendez Amador was last seen at 7 pm in the area of Wainwright St. and Chancellor Ave. in Newark, Hillside police said. Mendez Amador is a Hispanic man with short black hair and a tattoo on his right forearm of a scorpion, police said. Six People Arrested After Police Pursuit Ends In Overturned Vehicle: Union PD Six people, including a 19-year-old Newark resident were arrested and charged after fleeing from police in a stolen vehicle in Township of Union on Tuesday, Dec. 17, authorities said. At 12:55 p.m., officers spotted a 2017 Acura MDX speeding on Route 22 and a license plate check revealed the vehicle was stolen from Belleville, Township of Union police said. Burglar Steals $1,700 In Vapes From Union County Shop, Cops Say A 38-year-old Hillside man was arrested and charged with breaking into a vape shop in Union Township on Thursday, Sept. 26, and other burglaries that occurred last month, authorities said. At 5:07 a.m., police responded to Kush Smoke Shop on Route 22 and found the front door of the business had been shattered by a large rock, and saw a person, later identified as Hasan Williams-Chapman running from the business, Union Township police said.
