FBI Arrests Man Accused Of Sucker Punching Elderly Victim Unconscious In Fort Lee: Prosecutor A 29-year-old New York man has been charged in a Fort Lee shopping mall assault that let a 77-year-old comatose for two months, authorities announced. Efrain Escobar, of the Bronx, had gotten in an argument with the elderly man at Plaza West Mall on Bergen Boulevard just before 7:15 p.m. Monday, April 8, after a minor motor vehicle crash, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said. Fleeing Suspected Car Thief 19, Plunges To Death At George Washington Bridge A teenage suspected car thief fleeing police plunged to his death at the George Washington Bridge before dawn Sunday, authorities said. The 19-year-old driver fled from a traffic stop by officers from the NYPD's 52nd Precinct in the Bronx shortly before 1:30 a.m. June 9, they said. The vehicle apparently gave out, at which point the driver bailed and bolted. Jorge Sanchez, 38, became the target of an investigation following an allegation from the New Jersey Division of Child Protection & Permanency late last month that he abused a victim between her 13th and 16th birthdays, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said.
