The incident occurred on South Michigan Avenue, where crews from Car 2 and Engine 63 of the KFD, along with Police Chief Campanelli and Kenilworth officers, responded to secure the area. Emergency teams raised the low-hanging wires, allowing the road to reopen shortly after. Drivers are reminded to stay alert for potential hazards following similar incidents.

The crash occurred on the Garden State Parkway northbound near Exit 137 at Route 28 in Kenilworth and Cranford Township, the New Jersey Department of Transportation said. Though all lanes have reopened, according to NJDOT, traffic remains bad, according to a witness at the scene.

He was 25 years old. Nick was raised in Mountainside before moving to Kenilworth with his family, his obituary says.
