Construction Worker Rushed To Hospital With Head Trauma In Lyndhurst Accident: Police A construction worker was hospitalized in Bergen County Tuesday morning, Jan. 14 in a worksite accident, police said. The worker, 56, was struck in the head by the bucket of an excavator while working at a construction site in the 1500 block of Valley Brook Avenue in Lyndhurst, Detective Lt. Vincent Auteri said. He was taken by the Lyndhurst Police Emergency Squad to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Paterson with severe injuries, Auteri said. Investigators from OSHA are on the scene investigating.

Alex Kemp, of Lincroft, NJ, was skiing at Jiminy Peak Mountain Resort in Hancock on Monday, Jan. 6, when he went off of one of the trails and hit his head after going over an embankment, the Berkshire County District Attorney's Office said. Firefighter Injured During Santa Detail In Bergen County (Photos) A Glen Rock volunteer firefighter was hospitalized Saturday night, Dec. 21, after sustaining a head injury during a "Santa Detail" event, according to incident reporter Boyd A. Loving. The 24-year-old firefighter was riding on top of a fire truck when his head was struck by a low-hanging tree branch on Doremus Avenue, near the Glen Rock Municipal Pool, Loving said.  The injury, described as non-life-threatening, prompted an immediate response from local emergency services.
