A tipster led authorities to a warehouse manager from Westchester who they said traveled to Bergen County for sex with an underage teen he met online. Eric Palese, 27, of Tarrytown sexually assaulted the under-16-year-old child multiple times in River Edge, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said on Thursday, April 6. Based on the charges, it was at least a half-dozen times during the second and third weeks of March. Tappan Zee Bridge Jumper Hanging From Side Of Span Rescued By Responders
Responders rescued a jumper who was hanging off the side of the new Tappan Zee Bridge. The report of a jumper snagged near the northbound Tarrytown end of the bridge came in shortly before 10 a.m., Friday, May 27, bringing a huge contingent of emergency personnel, including the New York State Police Special Operations Response Team. NJ Dance Instructors Accused Of Sexually Abusing Boys In Bergen, Rockland, Fairfield Counties
A New Jersey instructor with a competitive Irish dance organization sexually assaulted three boys, a trio of lawsuits filed in Hackensack charge. A second teacher, who has since died, was also accused by one of the three with assaulting him three decades ago. The plantiffs allege the abuse occurred in Bergen, Rockland and Fairfield counties, as well as in Syracuse, Orlando and Ireland, IrishCentral.com reported. Man In Disabled Vehicle On New TZB Charged With Aggravated DWI After Hit-Run Westchester Crash
A 37-year-old man is facing aggravated DWI charges after a hit-and-run crash in Westchester County, police say. New York State Police responded to a report of a two-car motor vehicle accident on I-87 in the City of Yonkers on Saturday, Jan. 5 around 2:25 a.m. The report stated that a Toyota Rav4 hit a Volvo pickup truck and fled the accident scene with significant damage to the front end. Lane, Ramp Closures Near New Tappan Zee Bridge Announced
A new round of overnight lane and ramp closures near the new Tappan Zee Bridge have been announced as crews continue working on the Westchester landing. Beginning on Friday, Tappan Zee Constructors will continue installing new precast concrete slabs near the Westchester landing, which will create a new base roadway for the twin-span crossing’s connection to the New York State Thruway, according to officials.
