Two Powerball Tickets Sold In North Jersey Win Big
It was a sensational Saturday for two Powerball players in North Jersey. Two tickets, sold in Bergen County and Somerset County respectively, matched four numbers and the red Powerball in the drawing held on Saturday, Nov. 9, winning $50,000. The tickets were sold at Stop and Shop in Franklin Park and 7-Eleven in New Milford. The winning numbers were 11, 24, 50, 56, 66 and the red Powerball was 16.

Support is on the rise for a New Jersey family after their patriarch was killed in a crash after work. Alex Folnagy, 31, of Somerset, was the sole occupant of the 2010 Nissan Altima that crashed head-on with a 2018 Jeep Wrangler just before 7:25 a.m. on Amwell Road near South Middlebush Road in Franklin Township, Franklin Township police said. A water utility company based in Camden said it is pausing billing in the wake of a cyberattack on Thursday, Oct. 3. Unlicensed Driver, 25, Wanted In Deadly Fourth Of July Crash On Route 287: Prosecutor
A 25-year-old New York woman has been named "Fugitive of the Month" in one New Jersey county. Angely Betancourt has been charged with reckless death by auto and causing death while driving unlicensed in the July 4, 2022 crash that left one person dead on Route 287 southbound access ramp to Route 78 west in Bedminster, the Somerset County Prosecutor's Office said. The crash, which happened just before 12:25 p.m., was investigated by New Jersey State Police. The department did not immediately return Daily Voice's request for comment.

A 25-year-old Somerset County man was sentenced on Monday, Sept. 30, to 64 months in prison, time served, after he pleaded guilty to concealing his attempts to provide support to Hamas, authorities said. New Jersey health officials are reporting an additional six cases of West Nile Virus including two deaths, and two presumptive viremic blood donor (PVD) cases in the state. The six new WNV cases are residents of Bergen, Camden, Cumberland, Hudson, Mercer, and Middlesex counties (one 50+, two 60+, one 70+, two 80+). The New Jersey Department of Health has confirmed the state’s first human cases of the West Nile Virus, much earlier than in prior seasons. A 27-year-old motorcyclist from Staten Island died in a weekend crash on Route 287 in Somerset County, authorities said. Yet another aftershock rattled New Jersey. This one 2.6 in magnitude just after 7 a.m. on Wednesday, May 1, the USGS website shows. This one had an epicenter just east of the Hamilton Farm Golf Club in Gladstone (Somerset County). A 2.9 magnitude aftershock was reported last Saturday, April, 27 in the same area. People as far as Massachusetts and Connecticut reported feeling the earthquake, but it appeared to have been clearest felt in the Garden State, with Boonton, Caldwell, and Carteret residents reporting a II or III on the MMI scale.
