8th Tornado Across NJ, PA Confirmed In Lehigh County The National Weather Service has confirmed a tornado touched down in Lehigh County during Thursday's storm -- making that the eighth across New Jersey and eastern Pennsylvania. The EF0 twister touched down in Slatington and had winds up to 85 mph (click here for photos). It touched down on the grounds of Northern Lehigh High School, snapping and uprooting several trees. A wooden dugout on the baseball field lost its roof and some anchored metal bleaches were tossed, the NWS said. Pennsylvania HS Senior Wins National Taco Bell Scholarship For $25K A high school senior and Taco Bell employee in Cumberland County won the national Taco Bell scholarship contest, according to the company’s foundation’s website. Emma Seibert, of Enola works at the Taco Bell on Market Place Way and earlier this week she find out that she won the biggest scholarship her employer offers. Her $25,000 scholarship will help cover her tuition at John Hopkins University where she plans to study nursing.
