: Two Hospitalized, RR Sign Smashed In Midland Park Crash
Two victims were hospitalized and a railroad crossing sign was flattened in a Thursday afternoon crash in Midland Park. Both were taken by ambulances to The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood with injuries that responders said weren’t life-threatening after the cross at Goffle Road and Lake Avenue. Midland Park, Wyckoff and Ridgewood police responded, along with Midland Park firefighters and EMS and Wyckoff EMS. A flatbed tow truck removed both wrecks from the scene. Ridgewood Responders Free Impaled Deer
An impaled buck dashed off after Ridgewood police and public workers freed him from a fence Friday morning. The deer was caught on the fence outside a private Prospect Street home, bringing village police and Signal Division workers. They cut the fence and removed the section from his leg before the slightly bleeding buck ran off. Boyd A. Loving contributed to this report.

Man In Ridgewood Trailer Seriously Injured When SUV Slams Into It
A man was seriously injured after an SUV slammed into a parked utility trailer he was in Wednesday afternoon in Ridgewood. Tow trucks removed the Toyota SUV and the trailer, which had been parked on Prospect Street when it was struck. The victim was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center by Glen Rock EMS. Chase Ends With Paramus Police Car Crash Outside Route 17 Starbucks
A pursuit that began in Ridgewood ended with the driver's arrest outside a Route 17 Starbucks in Paramus after a crash with a police car, authorities said. Joseph Dunsay, 40, of Hackensack was speeding while approaching a construction zone Thursday when a village officer tried to stop him, Ridgewood Police Chief Jacqueline Luthcke said. Dunsay made his way onto southbound Route 17 during what Luthcke said became a low-speed pursuit. Backpack Left Against Midland Park Utility Pole Draws Bomb Squad
MIDLAND PARK, N.J. -- A backpack left against a utility pole that brought the Bergen County Bomb Squad to Midland Park early Wednesday evening proved harmless. Drugged Newark Man, 26, Walks Into Ridgewood School
RIDGEWOOD, N.J. – Amid mounting reports of potential threats to schools and finding ways of keeping danger from getting in, a Ridgewood school had an alarming visitor of its own. One night last week, a 26-year-old Newark man under the influence of some type of drug walked into the Hawes Elementary School and asked for directions Police Chief Jacqueline Luthcke revealed Thursday. Three-Vehicle Collision Sends Car Crashing Into Midland Park Home
MIDLAND PARK, N.J. -- A three-vehicle collision Wednesday afternoon sent a sedan crashing into a Midland Park house. Damage to the single-family home at the corner of Franklin and Vreeland avenues initially appeared minimal. Midland Park EMS personnel tended to at least two of the drivers.
