Jose M. Sussex County Man Stole $100s In Electronics From Local Walmart, Police Say A Sussex County man was caught stealing hundreds of dollarsā€™ worth of electronics from a local Walmart, police said. Daniel Baker, 32, stole ā€œseveral hundred dollarsā€™ worth of electronics merchandiseā€ from Walmart in Franklin on Tuesday, Feb. 8, Franklin Borough Police said in a Thursday release. Baker, of Franklin, was also found with a controlled dangerous substance at the time of his arrest, authorities said. Baker was charged with shoplifting and possession of CDS. He was released in accordance with the NJ Bail Reform Act and is scheduled to appear in court.

Police Nab Thief Who Stole $1,000 In Electronics From Franklin ShopRite A woman who stole a television and air conditioner valued at more than $1,000 from the Franklin ShopRite was being held in the Sussex County jail Monday, authorities said. Marianne Murphy of Bloomingdale put "paid" stickers on various items from the Route 23 grocery store and left without paying, Franklin Borough Police Chief Gregory M. Cugliari said. Murphy was located thanks to video surveillance and facial recognition technology, while her male accomplice was still at large, police said. She was charged with one count of shoplifting.
