Paramus PD: Car Burglary Couple Swiped $50K In Jewelry, $28,000 In Cash In Only One Day
An out-of-state couple who targeted parked cars in and around Paramus stole a whopping $28,000 in cash, $50,000 worth of jewelry and $3,000 worth of clothing in one day, authorities said.
Area police were on alert after the enormous haul the day before when Paramus Officer Justin Sicari spotted a blue Nissan Rogue with Florida plates parked at the Garden State Plaza around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 25, Police Chief Robert Guidetti said.
Sicari and Officer Nicholas Perna watched and waited, and eventually saw the couple enter the Rogue and drive off, the chief said.

A former Pennsylvania barber who appeared in ”90 Day Fiance” and “90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After?” has been extradited from Florida over six months after he was caught with fentanyl by US Marshals.
Michael Anthony Baltimore, 44, of Carlisle, had been on the run for a year and a half after he allegedly shot and killed his former boss.
The wild arrest involved a bar fight, a knife, a loaded gun, more than 800 ecstasy tablets, and fentanyl, according to US Marshals.

Asthma Attack Kills North Jersey Native Samuel Cobar, 22
Samuel Cobar never let his asthma stop him from chasing his dreams, according to a fundraiser set up after his passing.
The West Orange native's asthma, however, is ultimately what killed him, those who knew him said.
"That then led our loving brother, son and best friend to have a life-threatening asthma attack while he was alone in his apartment, which had left him unconscious without oxygen for 50 mins," the campaign says.
Cobar died on Monday, April 17 after the attack while he was alone in his Florida apartment, the page reads.

Florida Man Convicted Of Killing Jersey City Dad In BJ's Parking Lot
A jury found a Florida man guilty of murder for killing a Jersey City dad in a BJ's parking lot in 2021.
Ariel Dumit, 37, was convicted on all counts, including first degree murder for the shooting death of Christian Parra, following a two-week trial, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez announced on Tuesday April, 18.
On Feb. 28, 2021, Dumit shot Parra in the torso at a BJ's parking lot at 396 Marin Blvd. in Jersey City, prosecutors said. Parra was later transferred to Jersey City Medical Center where he was pronounced dead, prosecutors said.
