Traffic Stop Turns Up Loaded Gun, 200 Heroin Folds, Crack, $1,547 Cash, Haledon Police Say
A Haledon police officer found a 19-year-old Paterson man carrying a loaded gun, 200 heroin folds, a half-ounce of crack and $1,547 in proceeds during a traffic stop, authorities said.
Officer Jeffrey Welsh stopped the Dodge Dart with Michigan license plates on Aberdeen Court after the driver failed to signal a turn shortly after 8 p.m. Tuesday, Capt. George Guzman said.
The driver – who turned out to be unlicensed -- also wasn’t wearing a seatbelt, he said.

Son Of Bergen County Executive Charged With Impersonating Police Officer In Florida
The son of Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco was arrested on charges of impersonating a law enforcement officer on Route 95 in Florida, authorities said.
James J. Tedesco IV, 43, of Nanuet had an NYPD jacket and DEA hat with him, as well as two AR-15 rifles, 1,139 rounds of ammo and a bag loaded with gas mask equipment and suits, when he was stopped on the southbound interstate in Vero Beach shortly after 4:30 p.m. Monday, the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office said.
He was arrested, processed and sent to the county jail about 2½ hours later, records show.

Little Ferry Police Capture Fugitive Ex-Con Wanted In Cold-Blooded Newark Killing
A fugitive wanted for shooting and killing a man on a Newark street more than a year ago was captured by Little Ferry police who said he'd been hiding out in a local motel.
Dennys Santana, 28, had been on the run since the out-of-state victim was shot point-blank in the head up the street from Santana's Highland Avenue apartment on Aug. 20, 2020, authorities said.
The victim, Milan Madison, 28, of Hyattsville, Maryland, was pronounced dead at the scene, they said.
