Beginning Driver, 16, Rolls SUV In Glen Rock Pinball Crash
A 16-year-old driver with her learner’s permit was hospitalized after a pinball crash in Glen Rock flipped their SUV, authorities said.
Her father told police she was out practicing with him when she made a right too wide off Maple Avenue and their Honda CR-V struck a vehicle stopped at the stop sign on Rodney Street shortly before noon Saturday, Dec. 16, Police Chief Dean Ackermann said.
At that point, “she panicked, overcompensated, lost control of the vehicle, hit a tree and the vehicle rolled over,” the chief said the dad reported.

Driver Had $1,000 In Counterfeit Cash, Loose Pills, More, Glen Rock Police Charge
An unlicensed motorist driving a car with faulty lights and bogus license plates was carrying more than $1,000 in counterfeit bills when he was stopped by a Glen Rock police sergeant, authorities said.
Sgt. Greg Carter stopped Erasmo J. Evangelista, 36, of Paterson on Lincoln Avenue shortly before 2 a.m. last weekend, Police Chief Dean Ackermann said
A records check showed an active arrest warrant out of Riverdale, the chief said.
It also turned out that besides having a suspended license, Evangelista was driving an unregistered vehicle with phony plates, Ackermann said.

Gotcha! Organized Couple Busted By Glen Rock Detective After $3,650 CVS Cosmetics Thefts
A Glen Rock police detective nabbed an organized pair of thieves -- one from Elmwood Park, the other from Paterson -- who swiped nearly $3,650 worth of cosmetics from a local CVS in separate trips, authorities said.
Detective Sgt. James Calaski identified Carla E. Granda-Jara, a 37-year-old resident of the Silk City, and Ricardo E. Campos-Bardales, 42, following the May 19 and May 24 shopliftings at the Rock Road pharmacy, Police Chief Dean Ackermann said.
Calaski arrested Granda-Jara with help from his colleagues in Fair Lawn last Thursday, June 8, the chief said.

$45,000 Cash, Jewelry, Pricey Bags Stolen Along With Security Cams, Glen Rock Resident Reports
Whoever reportedly stole $45,000 and pricey valuables from a Glen Rock home also made sure to take the security cameras, as well, the owner told police.
The Cranford Road homeowner told responding officers that a rear window apparently had been forced open, Police Chief Dean Ackermann said.
In addition to the cash, the resident reported multiple designer handbags, jewelry and the NETGEAR cameras all gone, the chief said.
