Two people were seriously hurt in a five-car crash on the New Jersey Turnpike in Hudson County on Friday, Dec. 9, authorities said. Two people were rescued and taken to a trauma center with serious injuries after their car veered off a Hunterdon County roadway and plunged into a pond early Monday morning, authorities said. The Whitehouse Rescue Squad responded with local police to the crash off Higginsville Road in Readington and found the trapped victims around 7:30 a.m., the squad said. A 37-year-old driver was killed in a Monmouth County crash this week, authorities said. The Long Branch man and lone occupant was found dead at the scene of the crash at Asbury Avenue and Shafto Road in Tinton Falls around 2 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 23, police said. Driver Hospitalized After Vehicle Plows Into Hunterdon County Barn
A driver was taken to a nearby hospital after their vehicle barreled into a barn in Hunterdon County Monday evening, authorities said. Car Thief Kills One Person, Hurts 3 In Wild Central Jersey Pursuit: AG
A car thief being pursued by police crashed into several civilian vehicles killing one person and hurting three others overnight in Central Jersey, authorities said. A Marlboro officer was pursuing the car stolen from a local home when it struck unrelated civilian vehicles around 2:15 a.m. near the intersection of Spring Valley Road and Route 9 South, the State Attorney General's office said. A stolen car chase from Belleville to Rutherford before dawn Sunday ended with a fiery crash and two arrests, authorities said. Three occupants bailed out of the stolen SUV and fled into a nearby residential area following the crash on eastbound Route 3 just west of Orient Way shortly before 1:30 a.m. Oct. 30, the witnesses said. 22-Year-Old Driver Seriously Injured In Parkway Crash
A 22-year-old Newark man was seriously hurt in a crash on the Garden State Parkway, authorities said. The man was in a Mercedes heading south in East Orange when he collided with a Honda CRV near milepost 148.2 around 1 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 23, New Jersey State Police said. The cars went through the right guardrail and overturned. As a result of the crash the driver of the Mercedes suffered serious injuries. The driver and passenger of the Honda sustained minor injuries. The crash remains under investigation and there is no additional information available at the moment.
