About 240 gallons of fuel spilled from an airliner as it was preparing to take off at Newark Liberty International Airport Monday afternoon, the Port Authority said in a statement. Small Plane Makes Emergency Landing In Hudson River In Rockland
No one was injured when a small plane made an emergency landing in the Hudson River in Rockland County early Tuesday evening, authorities said. Piermont firefighters and EMS and Nyack firefighters were operating at the end of the pier while a Rockland County sheriff's Marine Unit towed the single-engine craft to shore, police said.
