A New York City-area healthcare system will allow some patients to check into its facilities with just the palm of their hand. NYU Langone Health is rolling out Amazon One, a contactless palm-scanning system, to speed up patient check-ins across its facilities, the online retail giant said in a news release on Monday, Mar. 3. Amazon Outage Impacting Netflix, Alexa, Ring
Amazon's web hosting subsidiary apparently suffered a worldwide outage Tuesday morning. Reports of the Amazon Web Service outage began rolling in around 10:20 a.m., DownDetector.com shows. The outage caused a ripple effect across platforms that rely on AWS such as Alexa, Amazon Music, Netflix and Disney Plus. “Reports indicate there may be a widespread outage at Amazon Web Services, which may be impacting your service,” it says. Nearly 28,000 users had reported an outage as of 12:30 p.m. Amazon was apparently investigating.

Historic $148M Settlement In Uber Data Breach: New Jersey Gets $3.75 Million
New Jersey will get $3.75 million of a whopping $148 million that Uber Technologies is paying all 50 states and the District of Columbia for a data breach that compromised the personal information of Uber riders and drivers, Attorney General Gurbir S.
