Some 55 students in grades 5-8 created, designed, illustrated and painted the 5-foot-by-10-foot canvas depicting their theme “No Home for Polar Bear."

Haskell School is one of 100 schools in the United States to have received a free canvas from the Wyland Foundation in order to participate in the contest. The Wyland Foundation is dedicated to promoting, protecting and preserving the world’s ocean, waterways and marine life. Last year, 3,500 students participated in the contest.
