PAPD Officer Pasquale Carpentiere was on red light enforcement detail at the corner of Hudson and Laight streets when the cabbie got his attention around 11:30 p.m., the authority’s Joseph Pentangelo told CLIFFVIEW PILOT this morning.
Carpentiere requested EMS and delivered the boy, he said.
Officers Jorge Negron and Agostinho Matias, who also is a registered nurse, arrived soon after and helped stabilize the 39-year-old Bronx mother and child until EMS arrived, Pentangelo said.
Both were taken to Bellevue Hospital, he said.
