The FBI issued information on a 1999 white Pontiac Montana van belonging to Bret Lee Luckett Thompson, launching a nationwide manhunt that ended just after midnight, when agents found him sleeping in the back of the vehicle behind a Wal-Mart in North Brunswick.
Authorities say Thompson — known as “Wyatt” — kidnapped the girl on June 2 from an alley while she was playing with friends. He then sexually assaulted her for about an hour and a half before taking off, they said, adding that she was found at a gas station about three miles away.
Besides the other complaints, authorities have charged him with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution (UFAP).
