Police were called to the East Ridgewood Avenue market just after 5:30 p.m. by co-workers who said they found the Wanaque man’s body, Paramus Police Chief Kenneth Ehrenberg said this morning.
He’d last been seen around 2 p.m., the chief said.
“Co-workers also reported that the store’s cleaning personnel had found the restroom door was locked from the inside,” Ehrenberg said. “The workers picked the restroom lock and found the victim on the floor.”
Drug paraphernalia was found nearby, he said.
Paramus EMS and paramedics responded.
“At this time, it does not appear that anyone else is involved in the victim’s death,” said Ehrenberg, whose detectives were investigating along with their colleagues from the Bergen County Medical Examiner’s Office.
