The body of bartender Edward "Otto" Rossi was removed from the home by township firefighters and transported to Chilton Hospital in Pequannock, where he was pronounced dead, after the 9:11 a.m. fire Sunday, they said.
Rossi lived alone, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and township Fire Chief Ed Steines said, adding that no firefighters were injured in the Tintle Avenue blaze.
The cause of the fire was undetermined as of Monday morning. However, authorities said no criminal charges were expected.
