Read below for what makes each nominee a “top dog,” then let your fingers do the clicking. Keep in mind you can vote multiple times, albeit once per day. Voting ends 4 p.m. Thursday, July 28.
Goffle Grill, 1140 Goffle Road, Hawthorne, (973) 423-0881
Frank Talk: The grill dates back to 1979 and has been serving up Jersey comfort food with fast service and friendly staff ever since, say customers. One of its fans missed their dogs so much after moving out of state that he had his son ship him 30 Goffle’s weiners “all the way” to South Carolina.
Top This: The Goffle’s Thumann’s dogs are “rippers,” meaning that they are deep-fried until they crack open. Their Texas weiners “all the way” come with homemade chili sauce, spicy mustard and finely diced onions. You can even buy a pint or a quart of the sauce to take home. They also offer an Italian dog with potatoes, peppers and onions on a sub roll.
