Thief Crashed Stolen Plane In Jersey Shore Field, Confessed To Burglaries: Troopers
A Point Pleasant man was accused of stealing and crashing a plane in Atlantic County, authorities said. Robert Wagner, 42, was arrested in Corbin City on Wednesday, Aug. 7, a state police spokesperson said. Troopers responded to a report of a suspicious man walking out of the woods near Main Street. Troopers found Wagner walking on Route 50 near the intersection of Main Street at around 8:55 a.m. Wagner said he had crashed his plane in a nearby grass field but he was arrested for obstruction after refusing to identify himself. A Florida pilot's small plane crashed when it experienced engine trouble shortly after taking off from Atlantic City International Airport (ACY), authorities said. Galloway Township police responded to the report of a plane crash in a field near the 200 block of Liebig Street at around 3:42 p.m. on Wednesday, July 31. Small Plane Crashes In Field Near Atlantic City Airport
A single-engine Cirrus SR-22 crashed in a field northeast of Atlantic City International Airport, authorities said. The crash occurred at about 3:40 p.m. on Wednesday, July 31, according to the Federal Aviation Administration. The pilot was alone on board, the FAA said. The condition of the pilot was not reported by the FAA. The FAA will investigate.
