A Mega Millions ticket winning the $1.13 billion jackpot was sold at a New Jersey ShopRite last March. Now, lottery officials are urging the person who bought it to come forward, as the deadline to claim the ticket is fast approaching. The winner of a Mega Millions ticket purchased in New Jersey hasn't claimed the $1.13 billion prize more than three months after the record-setting jackpot, officials said. Police were looking for a Manchester Township man accused of killing a mother from Seaside Heights, authorities said. Maxwell Johnston, 35, was wanted for murder and several other charges, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer said in a news release on Wednesday, July 3. He was identified as the suspect in the shooting death of 25-year-old Gabriella Caroleo on Thursday, June 27. Forklift Operator, 46, Killed By Police While Wielding Chainsaw In Central Jersey: AG
Authorities have identified a Keansburg man shot and killed by police while wielding a chainsaw, along with the officers involved in the Memorial Day incident. Willem Roman, 46, died from his injuries on Friday, June 14. Attorney General Matt Platkin announced his death in a news release on Monday, July 1. Keansburg police were called to perform a welfare check at a home on Seabreeze Way at around 1:07 p.m. on Monday, May 27. Chainsaw-Wielding Man Shot By Police In Keansburg
A man wielding a chainsaw was shot and critically wounded by police sent to his Keansburg home on a welfare check, authorities said.
