Five Malnourished Horses Removed From South Jersey Property, Owner Charged: Prosecutors
A Winslow Township woman was accused of neglecting five horses on her property, authorities said. Dana Grykin, 56, was charged with five counts of fourth-degree animal cruelty, Camden County Prosecutor Grace MacAulay said in a news release on Thursday, Oct. 10. Police executed a search warrant on Friday, Oct. 4, removing Grykin's horses from her property on the 100 block of Norcross Road. An animal shelter in Egg Harbor City is looking for new homes for many cats and dogs after three dozen were rescued from a suspected hoarding situation. Kimmy's Safe Haven Rescue said it's in "desperate need" of adopters and fosters of the pets found in a Galloway Township home on Monday, July 1. A Galloway Township woman was accused of neglecting 36 pets and having several dead animals in a freezer, authorities said.
