Ruth Buzzi, Famed Comedic Actress, Dies After Long Illness Ruth Buzzi, the life-long comedienne best known for her role on "Rowan & Martin Laugh-In," has died, her family announced on Facebook. She was 88.  Buzzi, born in Rhode Island but raised in Stonington, Connecticut, was diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease in 2012 and suffered a stroke in 2022.
