Tesla Causes Evacuation Of American Dream Mall (Update) Police have provided an update in the evacuation of the American Dream Mall in East Rutherford Tuesday evening, Oct. 8. Just after 5:30 p.m., American Dream security saw a Tesla legally parked on the ground level of the C parking deck with the driver’s side door left open and unattended, New Jersey State Police Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron said.  As part of the protective measures, two American Dream K-9 units conducted initial sweeps of the vehicle, which resulted in a positive alert.  Out of an abundance of caution, the mall was evacuated.
