Three Garfield Officers Struck By Fleeing Vehicle: Prosecutor Three Garfield police officers were injured late Sunday night, Nov. 17, when vehicles fleeing a scene struck two of them and a police SUV over the weekend, authorities said. The incident began around 11:30 p.m. when Garfield officers responded to reports of suspicious individuals wearing masks in the 400 block of River Drive, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office said. As officers arrived, they encountered two vehicles fleeing the area.
