Two separate arrests in Hoboken led to the recovery of an AR-15-style rifle, a loaded handgun, and suspected marijuana, police said.
In the first incident, officers responded to the 1400 block of Sinatra Drive North at approximately 1:45 a.m. on Wednesday, May 13, after reports of loud music coming from an illegally parked vehicle, according to Hoboken police.

A Mahwah man was arrested after a dangerous series of events unfolded on Route 287 on Friday afternoon, Jan. 2, police said.
At about 12:30 p.m., Mahwah Police Officer Gino Perrelli was conducting a motor vehicle stop on Route 287 north when an unrelated vehicle pulled onto the shoulder ahead of the stop, Capt. Michael Blondin said. As Officer Perrelli approached to see if the driver needed assistance, the driver put the vehicle in reverse and rammed the car that had been stopped by police, police said.

A Farmingville man was arrested after crashing a stolen sports car on the Long Island Expressway and fleeing the scene, police said.
The crash happened around 2:15 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 17, on the eastbound LIE near Exit 60 in Ronkonkoma, according to Suffolk County Police.
Highway Patrol officers observed several vehicles traveling eastbound at speeds exceeding 90 mph when they attempted to initiate a traffic stop, police said.

East Rutherford Police Sgt. Rubino attempted to stop a motorcycle with an unclear license plate on Paterson Avenue on Saturday, June 21, according to East Rutherford Police Capt. Jeff Yannacone.

A Bronx man trying to cash a fake check at a TD Bank in Bergen County took off running when police showed up — but he didn’t get far, authorities said.
