Beda Koorey, a 76-year-old resident of Huntington and a devoted "Star Trek" fan, believes her license plates were cloned, resulting in tickets for violations in locations she never visited, according to CBS News. 500 Tickets Issued, 30 Vehicles Of Toll Violators Impounded In Single Day At NJ Bridge Police issued 500 summonses and impounded 30 vehicles of persistent toll violators and users of fake or obstructed license plates, officials said. The Oct. 15 operation was a collaboration between the Port Authority of NY/NJ Police, NYPD, and New York State Police, and more, which also netted six arrests. The Port Authority Police Department of New York and New Jersey is arresting toll cheats and issuing summonses at a record pace this year, and plans on ramping up its already-intense crackdown on sly motorists in the coming months, according to a news release issued Tuesday, Aug. 6.
