Attorneys for Sean Higgins, the man accused of drunk driving in the crash that killed the Gaudreau brothers, argued in court this week that new test results are in and his blood alcohol level was below the legal driving limit, according to multiple news reports. Shock and sadness spread through Fair Lawn in the wake of a Thanksgiving Eve crash that killed a 19-year-old man. Alex Popov was identified by a GoFundMe campaign as the victim killed on Wednesday night, Nov. 26 in the Route 208 crash in which his Toyota GR86 overturned. The campaign by Jordan Stallone says Popov's family heard the sirens following the crash near the southbound ramp from Saddle River Road under the overpass. A new Netflix feature film starring Cameron Diaz is casting before production in the New York and New Jersey area. The movie, "Bad Day," is looking for boys and girls ages 9 to 12 to portray members of soccer teams in a tournament scene, according to a casting notice. The shoot is scheduled for Nov. 3, 4, 5, and 10 in New York City. After three decades of planning, a long-awaited 5.1-mile bike and pedestrian path has officially opened in North Jersey.
