A 23-year-old New York City man wanted in connection with a stolen vehicle and identity theft investigation in Fort Lee turned himself in months after additional charges were filed against him, authorities said.
Fort Lee police first encountered Makan Sissoko, of Manhattan, on Feb. 25, after receiving an alert about a stolen vehicle traveling through the borough, according to a department press release.

Daughter Steals $280K From Elderly NJ Mom In Bank Scheme, Cops Say
An elderly woman reported more than $280,000 stolen by her own daughter in a bank scheme, authorities in Bergen County said Tuesday, May 5.
The victim told police on Nov. 20, 2025 that her daughter, Ayelet A. Weiss, 57, of Harrisburg, PA, took her to the bank and transferred the contents of her accounts into a business account owned by Weiss, Edgewater Police Capt. Tim Farrell said.
Weiss told the victim the money was being placed into a trust, which never occurred, Farrell said.

Ex-NJ Councilman's Son Arrested Again For Child Porn, Prosecutor Says
A 26-year-old man arrested two years ago on child porn charges alongside his father, a then-councilman in Bergen County, has been arrested again for the same.
Steven K. Grossman, of Tenafly, was arrested Friday, Oct. 17, following a search of his home, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said.
The investigation revealed that Grossman used the internet to view, download, and possess more than 100 digital files depicting nude and/or sexually explicit prepubescent and pubescent children, the prosecutor said.
