NJ Man Shot Dead By NY State Trooper ‘Would Give You The Shirt Off His Back,’ Friends Say
A New Jersey man shot dead by New York State Police will be remembered at services Friday, Sept. 18 and Saturday, Sept. 19, according to his loved ones.
Amir Hamza, 45, of Ridgewood, NJ, was killed Monday, Sept. 14 at Whip-o-Will Campground in Ulster County, NY, authorities said.
A funeral prayer for Hamza will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Islamic Center of Passaic County in Paterson, according to a Facebook post from Mahmoud Hamza. A burial at East Ridgelawn Cemetery in Clifton will follow.

Serial Illegal Dumper Arrested: Wall Twp Police
A 28-year-old Long Branch man was arrested for illegally dumping numerous times in Wall Township, authorities announced Thursday, Sept. 17.
Between Wednesday, Aug. 12 and Tuesday, Sept. 8, officers responded to a business on Campus Parkway on three separate occasions regarding unauthorized dumping, Wall Township police said.
Investigators determined that the dumped materials, which appeared to originate from storage units, totaled more than 10 cubic yards and resulted in removal costs exceeding $2,000, police said.

A former Hudson Valley, NY district attorney is following his famous mother, Judge Judy, into the television courtroom.
