New Map Reveals States Americans Are Moving To, Leaving
A new map is putting America’s moving patterns in sharp focus.
The Tax Foundation analyzed newly released IRS migration data showing where taxpayers moved between 2022 and 2023, using returns filed in calendar years 2022 and 2023.
The data shows continued movement toward the South and Sun Belt, with major gains for states including Texas, Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee.

Heat and humidity are building across the Northeast, and steamy storms will soon follow.
The shift will affect New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Virginia.
The warm air will precede a cold front. Hot and humid conditions will combine to push maximum heat index values close to 100 degrees on Thursday, June 11, and Friday, June 12, with Heat Advisories in effect for much of the region.

A former NYPD sergeant has been indicted on charges that she fraudulently collected more than $132,000 in salary and overtime pay by claiming to work hundreds of hours she never actually worked, prosecutors announced.

7 People Shot In Trenton Mass Shooting: Reports
Seven people were shot in Trenton late Tuesday night, June 10, authorities said.
At 10:30 p.m., officers police responded to Centre and Furman streets near Route 1 after receiving numerous ShotSpotter detections, and found several people with gunshot wounds, Trenton police said.
Two teenagers, one boy and one girl, are among the victims, a 20-year-old, 24-year-old, 29-year-old, 30-year-old and a 36-year-old, police said.. All were transported to a nearby hospital, police said.

A 61-year-old Toms River man was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and drug possession in Lakewood, authorities announced Tuesday, June 9.
On Saturday, June 6, officers conducted a traffic stop and determined the driver, Robert Gadson, was impaired and placed him under arrest, Lakewood police said.
