Ny-bound Bus Crash On Garden State Parkway Leaves 15 Injured, Mostly Children: State Police
A school bus carrying 31 people, including children, overturned on the Garden State Parkway in Montvale Monday night, March 10, shutting down all lanes, officials said.
New Jersey State Police responded to the crash at 7:39 p.m. near milepost 170.5 in Montvale, according to New Jersey State Police Sgt. Charles Marchan. A preliminary investigation found that the bus, driven by a 44-year-old Lakewood man, veered off the right side of the roadway and overturned, authorities said.
Montvale Mayor Mike Ghassali confirmed the bus was headed to New York when it crashed.

Former Bergen County HS Athlete Sean Sidle Dies Suddenly, 19: 'Nightmare'
Sean Sidle, a former St. Joseph's Regional High School athlete from Maywood, died on Monday, July 22. He was 19 years old.
A GoFundMe campaign launched by Sean's mother, Victoria, said that his death was sudden, and "a nightmare for any mother and father to have to go through."
Sean's obituary on the Beaugard-McKnight Funeral Home website says he graduated from St. Peter the Apostle Grammar School in River Edge in 2019, and then from St. Joseph Regional High School, Montvale, where he played football and wrestled, in 2023.
