Ice Cream Shop Worker Killed In Route 80 Crash Left Lasting Impact On Customers, Coworkers Monday, Nov. 4 was going to be a big day for Cameron Ray. It would have been the 19-year-old MSU sophomore's first day of work at Das' Creamery's new location, Das' Creamery MooTown Morris Marketplace, on East Hanover Avenue in Morristown. Ray, of Flanders, joined Das' staff in April 2021, and has brought light and life to the ice cream shop ever since, the shop's owners tell Daily Voice. Storied Disappearing Dumont Donkey Is Hero Mascot At Builder's New Ice Cream Shop It was 2017 and Matt Dagistanli was in the process of building the structure that stands today at 65 W. Madison Avenue in Dumont, when his donkey went missing. He wasn't a real donkey, of course, but a statue that Dagistanli and his former business partner had affectionately called Dumbo. Dagistanli grew quite fond of Dumbo, and wasn't ready to get rid of him at the turn of his career change.
