Man, 20, Found Dead At Popular NJ Hiking Area: Prosecutor
Authorities are investigating after a 20-year-old Paterson man was found unresponsive at Garrett Mountain Reservation, officials said.
Members of the Passaic County Sheriff’s Office responded to the park around 12:50 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 28, 2025, after receiving a report of an unresponsive male, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Passaic County Sheriff Thomas Adamo said.
Officers arrived and found Martin Mendoza, 20, of Paterson, dead at the scene, the prosecutor said. The Passaic County Medical Examiner’s Office is conducting an investigation to determine the cause …

Michael Brown, a Morris County native set to start a new career in accounting, died on Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2024. He was 23 years old.
