High School Swimmer ID'd As 16-Year-Old Killed In South Jersey Crash
The 16-year-old girl killed in a weekend South Jersey crash has been identified as a high school athlete. Sophia Bennett was killed in the two-car crash on Friday, March 22, at the intersection of Hurffville Road and Deptford Center Road just after 8 p.m., according to police and school officials. The vehicle that Sophia was riding in was being driven by a 17-year-old Gibbstown boy, who was seriously injured, police said at the time of the crash. Sprouts Farmers Market Opens In Camden County
The grand opening of a new Haddon Township Sprouts Farmers Market, a nationwide grocery chain, is set for Friday, Sept. 8. This will be Sprouts’ 400th store. Founded and headquartered in Arizona, the chain entered New Jersey in 2019 with a market in Marlton. Sprouts also plans to open stores in Washington Township in Gloucester County and Aberdeen on the Jersey Shore. Deadly Shooting Followed Argument About Neighbor's Dog: Report
A dispute over a dog led to the deadly shooting of its owner, NJ Advance Media reports. Officers responding to the shooting report at the Birches apartment complex on Fries Mill Road in Washington Township, Gloucester County around 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 16 found through witness interviews that Zachary A. Lahneman had opened fire at a neighbor following a dispute about a dog, the outlet said, quoting a criminal complaint.
