Motorcycle Club Mourns Loss Of Rider 'BadKarma' Killed In NJ Turnpike Crash
A Pennsylvania-based motorcycle club is mourning the loss of one of its riders who died during a group ride on the NJ Turnpike over the weekend. New Jersey State Police identified the motorcyclist killed in Robbinsville on Saturday, Sept. 14 as Jeff Ford. Sgt. Charles Marchan said that Ford, 42, of Willow Grove, PA, was ejected from his bike in the outer roadway after it overturned in a series of collisions around 3:50 p.m., killing him. A tow truck operator was hospitalized after being struck on Interstate 295 in South Jersey by another tow truck while assisting a motorist, authorities said. The crash occurred at about 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 25 on I-295 southbound north of Exit 36 (Route 73) in Mount Laurel Township, according to the NJDOT. A four-vehicle crash with injuries was delaying traffic on Interstate 295 on Wednesday morning, May 8, authorities said. The crash occurred at about 9:50 a.m. on I-295 northbound near Exit 65 (Sloan Avenue) in Hamilton Township, according to the NJDOT and New Jersey State Police. Based on a preliminary investigation, a collision occurred between four passenger vehicles, said Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron, a NJSP spokesman. A portion of I-95 in Philadelphia will be closed for repairs to the Conrail bridge, after it was struck by a truck Monday afternoon, April 1. The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) said the northbound side of the highway was be closed and detoured approaching the Betsy Ross Bridge/Aramingo Avenue Interchange beginning at 10 p.m. April 1. Construction on the New Jersey-bound side of the Delaware Memorial Bridge has temporarily closed two northbound lanes of traffic, authorities said. Highway crews started work to replace the bridge deck and expansion joints on Thursday, Sept. 15 as part of a $71 million project.
