Trailer Fire Shuts Tacony-Palmyra Bridge
All lanes of the Tacony-Palmyra Bridge were closed Sunday evening, July 30 after a tractor trailer caught fire underneath it. Philly Man Gets 6 Years In NJ State Prison For Fatal High-Speed Crash On Tacony-Palmyra Bridge
A Philadelphia man who was driving at a high rate of speed on the Tacony-Palmyra bridge has been sentenced to six years in New Jersey state prison for his role in causing a five-car collision that killed one of the drivers, authorities said. Jonathan Ramos, 29, of Philadelphia pleaded guilty in July to leaving the scene of a fatal accident as well as traffic summonses for speeding and driving with a suspended license, according to Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina. Two men from Philadelphia have been charged with multiple offenses in connection with a fatal high speed hit-and-run crash on the Tacony-Palmyra Bridge, authorities said. The men were racing each other at more than 100 mph, causing a five-car collision in late December, according to Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina and Burlington County Bridge Commission Public Safety Director Patrick J. Victim ID'd In Fatal 5-Car Tacony-Palmyra Bridge Crash
Authorities have identified the driver killed Monday night in a five-car collision on the Tacony-Palmyra Bridge. Gerardo Francisco Perez Martinez, 35, of Camden died in the head-on crash, according to the Burlington County Prosecutor's Office. The investigation into the cause of the collision is ongoing.
