Two Dead After Suicidal Man Jumps From Building, Lands On Victim In NY
Two men were dead after one of them jumped from the top of a building, landing on top of the other below overnight in Westchester County, NY. The incident took place around 6 p.m., Monday, Sept. 20 at 77 Locust Hill Ave., in Yonkers. A distraught 25-year-old man jumped off the roof of the building, falling 12 stories onto the concrete parking garage roof below and striking a 61-year-old man; both men died at the scene, Yonkers police said. The death of previously reported missing Millersville University student and former child actor Matthew Mindler has been ruled a suicide, according to the Lancaster County Coroner. Mindler, 19, of Hellerstown, was last seen leaving his residence hall, West Villages, heading toward the Centennial Drive parking lot on Tuesday around 8:00 p.m., as Daily Voice reported at the time. Marine Crews Recover Parkway Jumper's Body From River
Marine rescue crews on Sunday recovered the body of a man who jumped from the Garden State Parkway into the Raritan River. New Jersey State Police troopers responded to the Driscoll Bridge on reports of a suicidal male who jumped around 11:30 a.m., Sgt. Lawrence Peele said. Rescue crews had recovered the unidentified body in the Raritan River near Cornucopia Princess Cruise Lines around 12:30 p.m., unconfirmed reports say. The man was pronounced dead at 12:38 p.m., Peele said. His identity was not immediately released.

SWAT: Armed Ridgefield Park Man, 58, Takes Own Life
A distraught Ridgefield Park man shot himself dead after barricading himself in his home Thursday night, authorities confirmed. Scott DeGraw, 58, had recently lost a close friend and was “going through a tough situation,” one responder said.
