2 Teenage Passengers Killed In Jersey Shore Crash: Prosecutor
Two teenage passengers were killed in a crash in Monmouth County, authorities said.Three other teens, including the driver, were injured in the single-car crash, according to Monmouth County Prosecutor Lori Linskey. On Tuesday, April 19, at 10:38 p.m., Freehold police responded to a report of an overturned vehicle. Two people were killed in a crash that closed Route 9 for several hours, authorities said. The crash occurred about 10:35 p.m. on Tuesday, April 19 on the 3400 block of the route in Freehold Township, initial reports said. A 32-year-old man from Lakewood was killed in a collision on Route 9, authorities said. The crash occurred just after 8 a.m., Wednesday, March 9 on Route 9 at Courtney Road, according to Lakewood police spokesman Capt. Gregory Staffordsmith. An Infiniti G37, driven by a 23-year-old Lakewood Township man, was headed north on Route 9 when a Chevy Impala attempted to make a left turn onto Courtney Road, Staffordsmith said. Woman, 59, Killed In Jersey Shore Crash: Police
A 59-year-old woman was killed in a two-car crash on the Jersey Shore, authorities said. On Sunday, Feb. 20 at 3:53 p.m., Barnegat police responded to Barnegat Boulevard North and Cole Drive for a report of a motor vehicle crash. Police found the driver of one of the vehicles, Alice Toriello, 59, of Barnegat unconscious and unresponsive. Officers performed life-saving measures on Toriello who was transported to Southern Ocean Medical Center where she was later pronounced dead, police said. Woman Killed In Route 9 Crash On Jersey Shore: Prosecutor
A woman was killed in a crash along Route 9 in Marlboro Township, authorities said. On Sun. Feb. 13 at 2:22 a.m., a 2019 Cadillac XT5 traveling southbound on Route 9, collided with a 2018 Nissan Altima at the intersection on the southbound side of Route 9 and Route 520, according to Acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Lori Linskey. The Altima then proceeded to strike a nearby telephone pole, Linskey said. A 28-year-old man was killed in a South Jersey crash on Thanksgiving night, authorities said. Jersey Shore Man Admits Robbing Wawa, Shoprite, 7-Eleven, Other Stores: Prosecutor
A Jersey Shore man has pleaded guilty to robbing several stores and burglarizing a home, authorities said. Thomas Jann, 34, of Beachwood, pled guilty to six counts of robbery and one count of burglary, according to Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer. Another former Kmart store is being replaced by a new Target store -- this time in Atlantic County. The newest Target to land in Somers Point is set to open this month in, NJ.com says citing news reports. Kmart vacated its anchor store at Somers Point Plaza, a popular shopping center off of Route 9. Target Corp also has plans to replace a shuttered Kmart store in Wall, Monmouth County, and Kearney in Hudson County. DWI Driver Admits Guilt In Deadly Garden State Parkway Hit-Run Crash
A 38-year-old man pleaded guilty to drunk driving and vehicular homicide in a hit-and-run crash on the Garden State Parkway that killed a man exchanging insurance information with another driver after a minor crash last year.
