Hamilton Motorcyclist Killed In Route 1 Crash In Central Jersey A motorcyclist from Hamilton was killed in a Route 1 crash in Edison, authorities said. The name or age of the motorcycle rider had not been released by police. The crash occurred at about 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 20, on Route 1 northbound, Edison police said. The motorcyclist was traveling at a high rate of speed and ultimately got trapped under a vehicle stopped in traffic, according to Edison Police Chief Thomas Bryan. 18-Year-Old Driver Killed In Route 1 Central Jersey Crash: Prosecutor An 18-year-old driver died after her vehicle struck a vacant building on Route 1 in Edison, authorities said. Diana Somarriba, of South Brunswick, sent her car into a building on the southbound side of Route 1 near Fox Road around 10:25 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 20, Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Edison Police Chief Thomas Bryan said. Somarriba had two teen boys in the car with her. Somarriba was transported to a nearby hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
