Cold CASE: Man's Remains Found In 1978 In PA ID'd As NJ Military Veteran For 44 years, the remains of a man found near a Pennsylvania creek have been referred to by investigators only as "John Doe." This month, investigators identified the remains as those of Kevin Alvin Jude Carroll, 18, of Oregon, Delaware County District Attorney Jack Stollsteimer said in a joint release. Discovery Of Human Remains Submerged In PA Waters Cracks 18-Year Cold Case The recent discovery of a missing vehicle submerged underwater containing human remains in a suburban Philadelphia town could help police crack a cold case dating back to 2003. Divers who found the vehicle and recovered the remains believe both belong to James Amiable, a Ridley Township man who left to pick his daughters up from a babysitter and never showed up on Dec. 4, 2003.
