Major musicians and comedians will perform across New Jersey in an arts festival unique to the Garden State, officials said. The North to Shore Festival will return in 2024 for its second year in Asbury Park, Atlantic City, and Newark, the state announced in a news release on Thursday, Mar. 7. Newark Officer Shot Taking Down Armed Suspect Gets Hospital Release He'll Never Forget
A Newark police officer who was shot while taking down an armed suspect was released from the hospital on Wednesday and then promptly promoted (scroll down for video). On his final day as the top federal law enforcer in New Jersey, U.S. Attorney Craig Carpenito took time to praise Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose, calling him a "national treasure."
