Route 73 To Remain Closed Overnight Following Crash That Downed Power Lines: Police
A portion of Route 73 will remain closed overnight following a crash on Thursday, Sept. 12. The crash involved a vehicle that struck a utility pole in front of the Lukoil at 921 North Route 73 in Mount Laurel around noon, police said. PSE&G was called to the scene as power lines fell, blocking the roadway and Fellowship Road. While no injuries were reported, the road was expected to reopen sometime Friday, Sept. 13.

Thousands of New Jersey residents woke up Monday morning, Aug. 19 without power due to Sunday's storm. And according to the National Weather Service, more stormy weather could be on the way for later in the day. A crash knocked down a utility pole in downtown Mays Landing, closing part of a busy road in both directions during morning rush hour, officials said. Thousands of New Jersey residents were without power on Tuesday due to a fast-moving storm Monday night. The majority of the outages were reported by JCP&L in Monmouth County. As of 10:30 a.m., 8,197 people were in the dark, the company said. Most of those customers were in Atlantic Highlands (1,143), Manalapan (553) and Marlboro (1,507).
