A woman was accused of beating and stabbing a Mays Landing man to death, authorities said. Eileen Bright, 75, also of Mays Landing, was arrested in the death of 81-year-old Gary Johnson, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said in a news release. Hamilton Township police responded to a 911 call about a dead man inside a home on Lewis Drive at around 5:39 p.m. on Sunday, Mar. 31. Charges have been upgraded for a New Jersey dad whose deceased 9-year-old son was found in a burning vehicle, authorities said. Manuel Rivera has been charged with second-degree aggravated arson, first-degree murder, second-degree endangering the welfare of a child, and second-degree desecration of human remains, Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone said. Investigators in Atlantic County are asking for help in solving the murder of a local celebrity in Atlantic City nearly 40 years ago, authorities said. In a news release on Wednesday, March 27, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office asked for public assistance in the investigation into the 1985 killing of Raul Sanchez. Support is on the rise for the family of a 40-year-old New Jersey truck driver shot dead allegedly by a Florida man last week at a Pennsylvania truck stop. A 31-year-old fugitive wanted for murder turned himself in on Friday, March 22, authorities said. Angel A. Aguero, of Vineland, was sought in the slaying of Dashon Lee, 35, according to Cumberland County Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae. Sean Daly, 53, of Mays Landing, was charged with murder and weapons offenses, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said in a news release on Thursday, Mar. 21.
