Fair Lawn Native, 32, Killed In Route 208 Thanksgiving Day Crash
A 32-year-old driver from Fair Lawn was killed when his car struck a utility pole on Route 208 early Thanksgiving evening. William Hennecke was driving his 2002 Porsche Boxter convertible when it veered off the southbound highway and into a utility pole just past Maple Avenue shortly after 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 23, Fair Lawn police said. A repeat offender from Fair Lawn who authorities said was under the influence in a school bus crash that injured two students on the Garden State Parkway seven months ago was arrested after a traffic stop turned up two illegal rifles, a handgun and more, borough police said Thursday. UPDATE: A 22-year-old Ridgewood woman had her 4-year-old son in the back seat when she slashed her boyfriend with a knife in her car Thursday night in Fair Lawn, authorities confirmed. Trinity Rodriguez fled the parking lot of Fairlawn Industries, leaving the victim behind, but was nabbed by borough police a few blocks away, they said.
