Prescription Pill Found In NJ Trick-Or-Treater's Halloween Candy: Police
A New Jersey trick-or-treater unfortunately got both this Halloween. A sedative prescription pill identified as Clonazepam was found in a child's candy this year in Sayreville, local police said. The pill was found in the bag pictured above, along with various pieces of “mixed candy," police said. The bag is a clear ziplock style bag with candy corn imprinted on it. Victim Taken To Trauma Center Following Trenton Shooting (

One person was rushed to a local trauma center following a late-night shooting in Trenton, developing reports say. The shooting occurred near 38 Walnut Ave. shortly before 11:30 p.m. on Monday, May 23, according to initial and unconfirmed reports. Emergency crews responded to take the victim to a regional trauma center, the initial report says. Police did not immediately return DailyVoice.com’s request for additional details. UPDATE: The body of a 15-year-old boy from Paterson who drowned in a Passaic County reservoir while swimming with friends was recovered Sunday morning, authorities said. Dogs Break Loose From Owner Before Attacking Woman Walking Her Dog In Camden County: Police
A woman and her dog were injured when two others broke away from their owner and attacked Monday, April 4, authorities said. The Waterford Township was walking her Australian cattle dog near Gardens and Camila avenues when the two dogs nearby broke loose, local police said. The dog and owner attacked both suffered several injuries from being bit, they said. One dog was black in color and the other dog was a smaller mixed dog. Dog Attack Sends 2 To Hospital In South Brunswick
Two people were hospitalized after being attacked by a family dog in South Brunswick on Tuesday, police said. A man in his 50s and woman in her 60s were bitten by the family dog, a pitbull, at a house on the 100 block of New Road, local police said. The victims were taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, authorities said. Their conditions were not known as of Wednesday morning. Responders included local police, EMS and animal control officers.

3-Foot Alligator On The Loose In PA
Why did the alligator cross the road? No, really. That's what police in Allegheny County, PA are trying to figure out. The 3-foot gator was spotted crossing New England Road in West Mifflin, local police said on Facebook Tuesday. "Didn’t respond to any of the names we called it, and we weren’t able to check for a chip," police joked. "Seriously though, if you see this wandering around, please call the police."

Wires Down, Route 1 Closed In Central Jersey
The blizzard of 2021 has resulted in hundreds of accidents statewide, and numerous reports of power lines down, including in Central Jersey. About 2:30 p.m., Route 1 in Edison was reported closed due to electric wires down, authorities said. It was unconfirmed whether the wires were live or not, but the downed power lines crossed the 1000 block of US 1, initial reports said.
